Hand-painted · From your photo · Shipped worldwide

The moments slip away.
We keep them.

A hand-painted portrait of your pet, made from a photo you already love — so the way they look at you stays on your wall, not just in your camera roll.

✓ See the painting before it ships  ·  ✓ One free redraw if it's not right  ·  ✓ 3–4 week delivery
Hand-painted oil portrait of a scarlet macaw, thick brushwork on linen
Oil on linen. Thick brushwork, painted by hand — not a photo, not AI.

Photos live in your phone.
Paintings live on your wall.

You have thousands of photos of them. You look at almost none. A painting is different — you walk past it every day, and every time you do, you see them again.

Recent commissions

Pets, birds, and small animals — every piece painted by hand from a photo the owner already had.

On the easel

A small pet portrait on an easel, styled with dried flowers

Three steps. No skill required.

You don't need a good camera. You need one photo they look like themselves in.

Step one

Send us a photo

Any clear photo from your phone. Blurry or old ones are fine — we'll tell you honestly if it won't work before you pay a cent.

Step two

An artist paints it

A real painter — not a filter, not AI — works from your photo. We send you the finished piece to approve before it ships.

One free redraw if it isn't right. See our promise.

Step three

It arrives at your door

Rolled in a rigid tube, or delivered ready to hang. 3–4 weeks from your photo to your wall.

Every one of these was painted by hand from a photo. Zoom in on the brushwork — that's the part a filter can't fake.

You'll see it being painted

Most shops send a finished file and hope for the best. We send you photographs of your portrait while the paint is still wet — so nothing about it is a surprise.

01

Underpainting

Rough shapes and first shadows, usually a few days after your photo arrives. This is the point where a wrong pose is still easy to fix.

02

Colour and detail

Eyes and the shape of the face come first. Fur or feathers are then built up in layers, which is why it takes days rather than hours.

03

Your approval

You see the finished painting before it ships. If something is wrong, we repaint it once — no argument, no extra charge.

Painted in a small oil-painting studio in Zhejiang, China — by people who paint for a living, not by a printer or a model. That studio is why the price is what it is.

Choose your piece

Every portrait is hand-painted on canvas by a real artist, and every option includes the artist's fee, worldwide shipping and our redraw promise. 3–4 weeks from your photo to your wall.

Where the weeks actually go

Most shops won't tell you this. Ours is slow because a person is painting it — here's the honest breakdown.

1
Days 1–2

Photo check & plan

We review your photo, confirm it will work, and agree the composition before anyone starts painting.

2
10–15 days

The artist paints it

By hand, on canvas. 10 days for 12×16" and 16×20"; 15 days for 18×24" and larger.

3
2–4 days

You approve the photo

We photograph the finished painting and send it for your sign-off before it ships. One free redraw if it isn't right.

4
3–5 days

Express air to your door

Rolled in a rigid tube, sent by tracked international courier with customs cleared — not a slow postal packet.

Total: 3 weeks for 12×16" and 16×20"  ·  4 weeks for 18×24" and larger
Need it by a date? Tell us in the form — we'll say yes or no straight away. During Chinese New Year (late Jan–Feb) the studio closes for 2–3 weeks; we'll flag any order affected.

How it arrives

A painting is an object, not a file. Ours is packed to survive the trip and to feel like something worth unwrapping — because it is.

Classic · Grand · Signature

The Signature Tube

Rolled, protected, ready for your framer

  • Spiral-wound rigid kraft tube with crimped metal end caps
  • Canvas wrapped in acid-free glassine — no scuffing, no transfer
  • Sealed with jute twine and a hand-stamped beeswax seal
  • Certificate of authenticity, signed and dated by the artist
  • Care card with glazing, hanging and lighting notes
Why rolled? A canvas that travels flat arrives flat — no creases, no cracked corners. Any local framer mounts it in about ten minutes.

The Gallery Box

Opens like a gift, because that's what it is

  • Solid-wood floating frame, hand-finished in a soft matte oil
  • Archival, acid-free mount with a small reveal at the canvas edge
  • Gallery-wrap canvas over kiln-dried pine stretcher bars
  • Linen-wrapped presentation box with brass corner detail
  • Cotton drawstring bag, dust cloth, hanging hardware included
  • Letterpress card naming your pet and the artist who painted them
Ready to hang out of the box — one nail, no tools, no framer.

What the good materials actually are

Not marketing words — here's what we use and why it matters.

Acid-free glassine
A translucent, pH-neutral paper museums use to interleave works on paper. It won't yellow, and it stops the canvas surface rubbing against itself in transit.
Spiral-wound kraft tube
Layers of kraft wound crosswise — far stronger than the single-wall poster tubes most shops use, and it survives being dropped.
Beeswax seal & jute twine
Hand-stamped, so you can tell nothing has been opened or resealed on the way to you.
Kiln-dried pine stretcher bars
Dried so they don't twist with humidity changes — the most common reason cheap canvases go crooked after a year on the wall.
Gallery-wrap
The painting continues around the sides, so it stays clean and frameless-looking if you hang it without a frame.
Archival mount board
Acid-free board that won't burn a brown line into the artwork over time. Cheap framing uses acidic board, and the damage shows up in about five years.
Linen-wrapped box
Bookbinding linen over rigid board — the same construction used for keepsake volumes. It's meant to be kept, not thrown away.
Letterpress card
Ink pressed into cotton paper rather than printed on top of it. Thicker, softer, and it feels made rather than manufactured.

Our promise, in plain words

  • We show you the painting before it ships. You approve it first — always.
  • Not right? We redraw it once, free. A fresh painting from the same photo, and we cover the artist's fee.
  • If your photo is too blurry to work from, we'll tell you before you pay.
  • Your painting is made by a human artist. Not a filter, not AI. You'll see the brushwork.

Because each portrait is painted for you alone, finished commissions aren't returnable — which is why we hold the painting until you've seen and approved it, and why the free redraw exists. One redraw per order.

Questions people ask before ordering

Is this AI? I've seen cheap AI pet portraits everywhere.

No. A human artist paints it by hand from your photo. You'll see brushwork and texture up close — and you approve the actual painting before it ships. If AI-style output is what you wanted, you'd pay $5 elsewhere; we're not that.

What if it doesn't look like my pet?

That's exactly why we show you the painting first, and why we redraw it once for free if it isn't right. Because your portrait is painted for you alone we can't resell it, so finished pieces aren't returnable — the redraw is how we make it right.

My photo is old / blurry / they've passed away. Can you work from it?

Often yes, and these are some of the pieces we're proudest of. Send what you have — we'll tell you honestly and quickly whether it will work, before you pay anything.

How long does it take?

About 3 weeks for 12×16" and 16×20"; about 4 weeks for 18×24" and larger. Roughly half of that is the painting being made by hand — 10 days for the smaller sizes, 15 for the larger ones — and the rest is express air shipping to your door. If you have a date, tell us in the form and we'll say yes or no straight away. If you have a date, tell us in the form and we'll say yes or no straight away.

Why does it arrive rolled instead of framed?

Because a canvas that travels flat arrives flat. Shipping a framed piece across borders risks cracked corners and can cost more than the painting itself — so we roll it in a rigid tube. If you want it framed, choose Gallery and it arrives stretched and ready to hang; if you choose Classic, any local framer can mount it in about ten minutes and we include notes on how.

Do you ship to my country?

Yes — free worldwide shipping, with tracking, on Classic and Gallery.

How do I pay?

You reserve your slot with a $50 deposit at checkout — it comes off your total. Then email us the photo (or send it with the form). If the photo won't work for a hand-painted portrait, we tell you straight away and refund the deposit in full. Otherwise the artist starts work, and you pay the balance once you've approved the finished painting.

Who owns the painting and the image?

You own the physical painting. We retain the right to show it in our portfolio unless you ask us not to — just say so and we won't.
