Privacy Policy
Momentslip (“we”, “us”) sells hand-painted pet portraits. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Details you give us — your name, email address, the photo you send, and notes about the pet and the portrait you want.
- Payment information — handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last few digits of the card or the payer email; we never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data — pages you visit on this site, the device and browser you use, approximate location (country / region), and which ad or link brought you here.
Why we use it
- To quote, paint, ship and support your portrait.
- To reply to your enquiry and send you updates about your order.
- To measure which ads and pages work, so we can improve them (see “Advertising measurement” below).
- To meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations.
Your photo
Your photo is used only to paint your portrait and, if you agree, to show the finished piece in our portfolio. We do not sell your photo, use it to train AI models, or pass it to anyone except the artist painting your piece and the shipping carrier.
Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)
We use the Meta Pixel to understand how people find us and to show more relevant ads. The pixel records pages you view and actions such as adding a portrait to your basket or submitting an enquiry. If you submit an email address, it may be sent to Meta in hashed (one-way encrypted) form for matching — we never send it in plain text.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in your Facebook ad settings, in your browser’s tracking controls, or by using a tracker blocker.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and local storage entries to keep your place in the form, remember your progress, and measure traffic. Blocking them will not stop you buying, but the form may be less convenient.
Who we share it with
- Our payment provider, to take payment.
- The artist who paints your portrait (your photo and notes only).
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your portrait.
- Meta Platforms, for the advertising measurement described above.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to.
We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept as long as tax law requires (typically 6–7 years). Photos and painting files are kept for up to 24 months so we can repaint or resend if something goes wrong, then deleted. Enquiry emails with no order are deleted after 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email kennyhong072@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in California, you also have the right to opt out of the “sharing” of your information for cross-context behavioural advertising — the tracker controls above do this for you.
Children
Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top and, where we have your email, tell you directly.
